Additionally, the cryptocurrency Green Metaverse Token (GMT), essential for acquiring in-game sneaker NFTs, has witnessed remarkable growth, soaring by 384% in the past month alone.
The recent uptick in GMT’s value appears to be linked to the introduction of the STEPN x ASICS shoe NFTs. In the last 24 hours, GMT has surged by an additional 34%, propelling its market cap to $2 billion.

Individuals who register for the STEPN x ASICS NFT sneaker sale on the Binance NFT marketplace will have the chance to be selected for receiving the initial STEPN shoes for use in the BNB Chain version of the game in the upcoming weeks.
The mystery shoe boxes, designated for in-game use, will encompass various ASICS types, including Walker, Jogger, Runner, and Trainer shoes, reflecting both common and rare real-world counterparts. These shoe boxes, specifically for the year 2010, are currently available for purchase at 0.5 BNB, approximately $208 each. Notably, the least expensive examples of the new ASICS shoes are presently trading on the secondary market for at least $1,889, as reported by the company.
In its promotional materials, STEPN characterizes itself as a “Web3 lifestyle app” that encourages users to earn tokens while engaging in outdoor activities such as walking, jogging, or running. To partake in the game and accrue coins, users are required to acquire a pair of shoe NFTs from the in-game store.
